Lurz, of Mansfield, over Sunday.
The Misses Mabel and Verda Shanibarger, who are
attending Vermillion Institute, spent Sunday at home.
Sebastian Culler returned from Upper Sandusky
Monday, having undergone a surgical operation under skilled physicians. He
is fast improving and will soon be well.
William Jones, an old and respected gentleman
living three miles east of here, is reported as lying very low with slight
prospect for his recovery.
Elzy King is doing a hauling business in
newspaper agency. He handles names for over 40 of the leading newspapers
of the U.S., among them being the Mansfield News, which is receiving more than
its share of subscribers, good evidence, that our people know a good thing at
sight.
Clara Syler is spending a week at Ashland.
It is reported that Blanche Culler has
diphtheria, but more probably it is tonsillitis.
The good people of the neighborhood organized
under the efficient leadership of George H. Mowry went to Solomon Vail's house
and dug a ditch to let the three feet of water out of his cellar. They
succeeded and made the aged couple quite happy.
