A.E. Whitamire was in Mansfield, Monday.

A.I.B. Miller and wife were the guests of Elmer Lurz, of Mansfield, over Sunday.

The Misses Mabel and Verda Shanibarger, who are attending Vermillion Institute, spent Sunday at home.

Sebastian Culler returned from Upper Sandusky Monday, having undergone a surgical operation under skilled physicians.  He is fast improving and will soon be well.

William Jones, an old and respected gentleman living three miles east of here, is reported as lying very low with slight prospect for his recovery.

Elzy King is doing a hauling business in newspaper agency.  He handles names for over 40 of the leading newspapers of the U.S., among them being the Mansfield News, which is receiving more than its share of subscribers, good evidence, that our people know a good thing at sight.

Clara Syler is spending a week at Ashland.

It is reported that Blanche Culler has diphtheria, but more probably it is tonsillitis.

The good people of the neighborhood organized under the efficient leadership of George H. Mowry went to Solomon Vail's house and dug a ditch to let the three feet of water out of his cellar.  They succeeded and made the aged couple quite happy.

George Bittinger, William Culler and E.E. Sheets attended the horse sale at Mansfield last week.

James Culler is laid up with the grippe.
