Charles' Mill Happenings

Will McElroy and wife, of Helena, Mon., visited Mr. & Mrs. E.H. Charles, Wednesday.

Hoover Bros. expect to move their saw mill to Jacob Wagaman's woods soon, where they have considerable sawing to do.

William Hoover, who has been quite sick, is now able to be around.

George Applegate has a fine team of western horses, one weighing 1,700 pounds and the other 1,500 and are to be fed several months, when they will be expected to weigh several hundred more.

D.C. Hiller sold a fine lot of lambs at the scales about 10 days ago.  Thirty-five weighed 3,500 pounds.

David Wertman also had 26 that averaged 113 pounds.  They realized $5.25 per cwt.

Miss Anna Kauffman is visiting her sister, Mrs.. E.H. Charles, this week.

P.L. Shanibarger spent Sunday with your correspondent.

Frank Weirick passed through here last week.

William Fox, of the firm of Long & Fox, of Mansfield, was here last Thursday.  Mr. Fox is doing a hustling business in the machinery.  A look into his order book will convince the most skeptical.

One week ago the Rev. O.C. Kramer of Perrysville, assisted by Rev. Keifer in the revival by preaching Monday and Tuesday evenings.
