Mable and Verda Shanibarger spent Sunday at home.

H.S. Kiefer sports a fast team of driving horses.  The gait is marvelous.

It took Will Byers one whole day to slide a sawlog to the sawmill.  He was bound to take advantage of the snow.

Wilson Giffen, the oldest resident of Mifflin Twp., Ashland County, took suddenly ill last week.  Owing to his advanced age he is not expected to recover.

The rain last Sunday swelled the Black Fork so much that E.H. Charles is in danger of losing 25 cords of good stove wood.

Charles Zehner of Mifflin passed through here last Saturday, presumably after a "victim".  You know he is our efficient constable.
