P.C. Shanibarger has been confined to his room for the past week, but expects to be out soon.
H.S. Kiefer spent last Monday night with your correspondent. We are glad to acknowledge pleasant visits like this when we have to work, especially at night when the hours are so long and are reading matter is nearly exhausted.
M.R. Byers, whose wife suddenly died a short time ago, will make sale March 19.
Edward France arose early on the morning of March 1 and left a note on the table to George Balliet saying "Good-bye George, I'm tired of the old sand hills, and departed for greener pastures." For some years Ed had made his home with Mr. Balliet, who is an honest, upright man and gave to the boy a good, pleasant home. Not the least difficulty ever arose between them, but it is supposed the boy wanted to go west and grow up with the cowboys and jack rabbits. It is rumored now that he is in Nebraska.
