The Rev. S.P. Kiefer has resigned his pastorate and on Sunday, April 24, preached his farewell sermon to the very large audience. Mr. Kiefer held this pastorate for five years during which time he has always been very active and devoted to the cause he so ardently pursued, always looking to the requirements of the church, Sunday School, prayer meetings and Christian Endeavor.
A.E. Whitamire was at Mansfield last Monday.
Fred N. Baker, a Monroe Township boy, who has been employed by the Morgan engineering works of Alliance, at the first call for volunteers resigned his position and enlisted in Company K, 8th. Regiment, O.N.G. and mustered into service at Columbus. Fred can justly claim the honor of being the first Monroe Township boy to enter the service.
The Rev. S.P. Kiefer will have a sale Thursday, May 5, at 1 o'clock p.m.
