The festival was largely attended. The concert was pronounced grand.
Mr. and Mrs. Weikle, of Cleveland, are visiting with Samuel Thorley's. Mrs. Weikle is suffering with lung trouble.
The Ryland reunion will be held this year on Saturday, August 25, in Jared Armstrong's grove south of town. All relatives and friends invited.
Miss Clara Stafford and cousin, Miss Ada McClanahan, of Iowa, went to Niagara Falls, on the excursion Saturday.
Quite a number from here attended the Greentown picnic Saturday and report a fine time.
Mrs. Williamson, of Philadelphia, is the guest of her friend, Mrs. Emma White.Clarence Ryland, of Bucyrus, is here enjoying a fine time with friends.
The Junior Epworth League picnicked last Wednesday at a place along the Blackfork called Yellowtown. A fine time was had by all.
Mrs. Dell Craig and daughter Mabel, of Tiffin, called on friends in town Monday. They were accompanied by the former's sister, Mrs. Myers, of Ashland. They went from here to Mifflin.
A specialist from Union county is here giving Mrs. Mary McGee treatment for cancer.
Al Cramer, Harrison Ciphers and A.E. Rush spent part of last week at Long lake in camp with the Sons of Rest and did the fishing for them. Mr. Cramer caught 30 or 40 bass, and Mr. Ciphers between three and four hundred sunfish.
