Ohio Genealogical Society (Headquarters in Mansfield, Richland Co., Ohio) -- 713 S. Main St. in Mansfield, Ohio 44907-1644. Use of the library is free for members of OGS, but non-members must pay a small fee to research.
Mansfield is about an hour north of Columbus ... so if you're planning a research trip to the area, you should really consider trying to stop at both the OGS Library in Mansfield and the OHS Library in Columbus. Each have their own unique offerings. There are several hotels within about a five-minute drive of the OGS Library in Mansfield at Hanley Rd., near the on-ramp to I-71 which will take you straight down to OHS in Columbus.

Library Offers a small section of books related to each of Ohio's 88 counties as well as a full collection of census data and military records for the entire state. Use of the library is free, but you must pay to park.
