PERRYSVILLE -- The leading features of the week
was the marriage on the evening of the 31st. ult., by Rev. S.C. Faris, at the
residence of the bride's father, Norman M. Strickler and Miss Flotie Johnston,
both of this place. Mr. Strickler is the popular salesman in the dry goods
store of C.C. Coulter & Son, and in taking to wife the beautiful and
accomplished Miss Johnston has done a wise thing. We didn't get any of the
wedding cake, but wish them a happy and prosperous future all the same.
The newly married couple went on the 8 p.m. train to Shreve, where the mother of
the head of the newly established family lives. They returned on Friday
evening and Norm, like a sensible man, took his place behind the counter.
This young family is to keep house on First Street until spring when they will
move to their cozy house on the corner of Bridge and Third Street.
