HAYESVILLE JOURNAL:  15 March 1883, Vol. 8, No. 38

MARRIED -- On the 8th. inst., at the residence of Jno. Carver, by Rev. Jas. Steele, Mr. Joseph Cliff to Miss Mary Done, both of Mohican Township, Ashland County, Ohio.  The marriage ceremony was performed at 7:30 o'clock, and after the couple had received the hearty congratulations of the officiating minister and invited guests the party retired to the dining room where Mrs. Carver and daughters spared no pains to have prepared a sumptuous repast, at which each replenished the inner man.  At a late hour, the guests took their leave to meet on the day following at the residence of the groom's parents, Mr. & Mrs. Daniel Cliff, where a reception was given for the new married couple.  About fifty persons being present.
