L. W. Farrell was quite indisposed last week.
Miss Dretha Simmons is visiting at Elyria.
Mrs. Frank Weeks is quite low with bowel trouble.
Wade Richards is spending the week at Ira Fast's near Ashland.
A 13 1/2 pound girl made its appearance at Charles Heath's home last Tuesday.
Henry Culp and wife, of Bowling Green, were guests at Josiah Kosht's last week.
Claude Simmons is hustling for D. W. Wile, the piano dealer at Ashland, these days.
Mabel Scott, of Wakeman, spent part of the week here with her grandparents, A. D. Stahl and wife.
Al Smith had the misfortune of running a nail into his foot, necessitating a physican's attendance for a couple days.
Mrs. Frank Rice, wife of ore of Ashland's blue coats, was a guest of J. N. Fulmer and wife the past week.
Miss Jennie Waggoner, of Orange township is experiencing a season of city life as the guest of Harvey Witherstine and wife.
Miss Edna Forney, of Nankin, spent the past week here with her grandparents, Adam Smith and wife.
Frank Singer was down from Shelby last week associating around among his numerous relatives and friends.
Mrs. S. A. Whitright is here from North Fairfield helping care for her father, Jesse Simmons, who continues about the same.
Miss Edna Holbrook, one of Sullivan's bright lady pedagogues, has been spending some days here with Mrs. Claude Simmons.
Misses Kate and Mattie Hoke, of Wooster, and Mrs. Eckey, of West Salem, were guests at J.C. Richards part of the week.
Wm. Davidson and wife went to Pennsylvania last Saturday to spend a few day with their children, James Carr and wife.
Miss Belle Golloday, a pleasing lady of Salem, O., has been here for the week past as the guests of her cousins, Mesdames S. G. McAdoo and Elmore Barrick.
R. A. Walters has been quite ill with liver trouble at the home of George Myers, hence was unable to go to his home last week as expected.
The Universalist church north-east of this place was struck by lightning during one of the recent storms and though not destroyed, was somewhat damaged.
Mrs. Lou Boardman, of Vassar, Mich., who has been visiting her sister, Mrs. J. C. Richards, for several weeks past, left for North Fairfield last Friday.
The song service given by Rev. Barron, and wife last Tuesday evening was a musical treat and greatly enjoyed by a good sized audience.
H. P. Miller was here from Bevington, Pa., several days enjoying the hospitality found at the homes of John Biddinger and G. W. Pixley.
Mrs. Ruth Gilmore and children of Knox county, are in town this week as guest of her brother, C. W. Hart and family.
Mrs. Frank Kosht came from the Forest City last Saturday evening and is inhaling some healthful breezes as a guest of Josiah Kosht and wife.
J. N. Fulmer started for Baltimore Monday morning to attend the convention of the National Hay Buyers Association, which is in session there this week.
Wilbur Smith has been very low with typhoid fever during the week past, his temperature ranging from 102 to 105. Today's report notes very little change in his condition.
