J. L. Bruder spent a couple days at Elyria.

C. W. Hart moved into his new residence Monday.

The lawsuit of Motter vs. Power is assigned for Saturday.

J. F. Singer and his wife spent New Year's day with friend near Attica.

John Vaughn is visiting relatives down around Penfield and Spencer.

John Bishop is preparing to build a house on his farm north of town.

George Miller enjoyed a New Year's feast with his son, Bert, at Chicago Junction.

James Elliott came down from Hicksville Monday and is stopping with his mother, Mrs. John Phillips.

Miss Harriet Richards, of New London, was the guest of her girl chum, Miss Macy Murray, during the week.

Mrs. Dora Livenshire and daughters Ethel and Bessie were New Year's guests of relatives at New London.

Earl Kiplinger soon tired of his position as fireman on the B. & O. R. R. and resigned his place last week.

Mrs. J. M. Reed and guest, Mrs. Martha Wettrick of Cleveland, were guests of Chicago Junction friends over New Years.

Harvey Simmons arrived here from Chicago Monday morning and is stopping at the home of his brother Wilson.

J. H. Smith came down from Toledo last week and remained a couple days at the home of Charles Moore and wife.

Howard Biddinger, who is studying medicine in Cleveland, was at  home with his parents over the holidays.

Frank Singer came over from Shelby Friday and spent his holiday vacation with relatives her and at New London.

Mr. and Mrs. McGrew, of Angola, Ind., spent a part of last week visiting with their uncle Elijah Fast, and family.

Lawyer R. M. Johnson was up to Cleveland last week attending to some business in connection with the United States Court.

Wilbur Smith returned to his dental studies at Cleveland Monday, after spending the holidays with friends at home.

C. L. Simmons has hired his services to Sommers & Son, piano and organ dealers at Elyria, and goes there Thursday to begin work.

George Newcomber left here Wednesday morning for Coshocton, where he expects to remain until spring doing cooking in a hotel.

Miss Retta Shreffler, who spent a couple months here at the home of C. W. Parker, has gone to Cleveland to remain during the winter.

Clarence Richards came out from Cleveland Sunday evening and is a guest of his uncle J. S. Miller, and wife.  He has grown to be a "great big boy."

Colonel Richards and Lewis Wetrick, Forest Cityites, were also here a few days visiting the former's old home.  "Kern" has changed much in some respects.

Ed Richards came home from Mansfield Thursday and remained until Monday.  He hasn't decided yet as to whether he will remain there permanently or nor.

Orlando Curry will farm on a little larger scale next year, having rented his father's farm, which in addition to his own will keep him busy.  He has hired O. S. Hunnewell, who will move into the tenant house.
