Kirkpatrick of Loudonville, was killed Saturday afternoon by falling from a ladder upon which she had climbed in the absence of her parents.BUTLER ENTERPRISE (Butler, Richland Co., Ohio): 14 July 1905, Vol. 17, No. 23 Submitted by Amy Kirkpatrick, Mary - DIED -- Mrs. Mary Kirkpatrick, at her residence, near Polk, September 15, 1879. The deceased was born in Pennsylvania, March 2, 1799, and removed from near Uniontown, in that State, into the present bounds of Ashland County, more than a half century ago. Her history, therefore, in many respects, has its counterpart in the experience of others of that fast-diminishing band of pioneers which made "the wilderness to blossom as the rose". Mrs. Kirkpatrick was a member of the Presbyterian Church from her youth, and, by a consistent life, gave the highest evidence of the sincerity of her profession. She was noted alike for her quiet, retiring disposition, her childlike simplicity and earnest faith. Her pew was never vacant so long as the condition of her health would at all permit her to attend the sanctuary. She was a living reproof to the many who forsake the assembling of themselves together. She has passed from us to mingle in the worship of the upper sanctuary, but her memory and example will remain to bear precious fruit.
