Old people's meeting at the Christian church was well attended.  Alan Wilcox preached the sermon.   M.N. Mann led the singing, which was fine.  In the afternoon the program was very interesting owing to reminiscences by visiting brothers.   The evening was given to attending children's day exercises at the Congregational church.

Tuesday morning a message came to Sullivan for Mrs. C. M. Chapman's children, saying she was falling fast.   So her children, Mrs. Rena Rice, Charles Chapman and Mrs. Georgia Cessner took the early train for Cleveland.

Mrs. Maggie Whitcomb dropped dead at her home Sunday morning.  Funeral Tuesday:  Obituary next week.

Well, the "good roads" have come to Sullivan township sure for the trustees are improving our road from the square to the railroad and have filed an application for the $5,000 recently received from the automobile fund, and which will be available next year.   A portion of the labor for this year's improvement is donated and yet there are others who ought to give a day or two and thus save cost for the making by charging it up to John Doe.  You want good roads but object on the ground of "tax".  Now is an excellent time to get what you want at very little expense.  Let every man give a boost and if the men will lot, then would be an excellent time for the women to prove their capability of taking their place with the men and thus prove themselves worthy of the franchise.
